Our passion for Scottish fiddling inspired the creation of our non-profit organization. We saw a need for a community that celebrates this musical heritage and supports beginners. Our aim is to create a welcoming space where everyone, from novices to seasoned fiddlers, can share, learn, and keep the tradition of Scottish fiddling alive. We're dedicated to nurturing this art form and spreading the joy of Scottish music.
At our non-profit, we embrace the power of community and technology to keep our love for Scottish fiddling vibrant and accessible. We host monthly virtual meetings through Zoom, where members from all corners can come together to play, learn, and share their passion for Scottish fiddling. These sessions are a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and the power of music to connect us, regardless of physical distance. Additionally, during competition season, we organize face-to-face events, fostering a deeper sense of community and camaraderie. These events not only offer a platform for showcasing talent but also provide invaluable opportunities for learning, networking, and celebrating the rich tradition of Scottish fiddling.
Laura Jacob, our founder, embodies the spirit and passion of Scottish fiddling. Her journey with the fiddle began as an adult, proving that it's never too late to pursue a musical passion. Laura was captivated by the rich traditions and soulful melodies of Scottish music. Laura's vision is to create an inclusive community where the beauty of Scottish fiddling is accessible to all, regardless of age or background.
